Chad Godwin, MBA, CMA
Chad Godwin is the Founder, Managing Partner, and Chief Compliance Officer of First Turn Capital, a distinguished boutique investment bank headquartered in Oklahoma City. He specializes in providing sophisticated financial and M&A advisory services to middle-market companies across the Southern U.S., with a specific expertise in businesses generating $2 million or more in EBITDA.
Chad's extensive expertise spans buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, growth capital structuring, ownership transitions, and strategic recapitalizations. His advisory work is renowned for delivering tailored, objective financial solutions to both high-growth and distressed businesses, ensuring optimal outcomes for his clients.
As a Certified Merger and Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA), Chad possesses a comprehensive suite of FINRA licenses, including Series 24, 65, 79, 82, and 99. He is a registered professional with FINRA, SEC, and SIPC, ensuring that all securities transactions are conducted with the highest standards of compliance through First Turn Securities, Member FINRA/SIPC.
Chad's entrepreneurial journey began in the construction and manufacturing industry, where he successfully built and exited multiple companies. Prior to founding First Turn Capital, Chad served as CEO and board member for multiple portfolio companies held by private equity firms, where he led operational turnarounds, strategic growth initiatives, and M&A execution, further honing his financial and operational acumen. He continues to serve on the boards of several of these companies. He earned his MBA from the University of Oklahoma, where he was actively involved in organizations such as OU RUF/NEKS and Entrepreneurs of OU, and further enriched his business education through advanced management coursework at Harvard Business School, Wharton School of Business, and Southern Methodist University.

Doug Franklin joined First Turn Capital in 2025 as a Managing Director, bringing over 40 years of combined, comprehensive experience in accounting, industry financial management, consulting, and investment banking. He is singularly focused on empowering business owners to maximize the value of their enterprises. Doug achieves this through expert guidance in sell-side transactions, strategic financial consulting, and capital raises, serving a diverse range of industries within the lower and middle markets. His extensive background allows him to navigate complex financial landscapes and deliver impactful solutions tailored to each client's unique objectives.
A lifelong resident of Oklahoma City, Doug has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the community through active involvement throughout his distinguished career. He earned his BBA from the University of Oklahoma in 1983, launching his career in public accounting where he built a strong foundation in financial principles. Doug remains a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds active Series 7, Series 63, and Series 79 licenses, affirming his deep technical proficiency and dedication to financial excellence.

David Terry is a Director at First Turn Capital, where he draws on more than two decades of entrepreneurial, financial, and coaching experience to help business owners navigate growth, transition, and investment opportunities. He earned a BBA in finance and MBA from West Texas A&M University.

Tyler Holland is a Director at First Turn Capital where he leverages his extensive background in finance, accounting, and entrepreneurial ventures. He earned a finance degree followed by a Master's of Accountancy from the University of Oklahoma and earned and maintains his CPA designation.
After beginning his career in public accounting with KPMG’s Dallas office, he successfully pursued an entrepreneurial path across multiple industries and businesses including start-ups, acquisitions and divestitures, and private equity prior to co-founding TITL Capital Partners which later merged with First Turn Capital.
Tyler currently resides in Amarillo, Texas with his wife and two children.

Caleb Corbitt serves as an Analyst at First Turn Capital, based in the Oklahoma branch, contributing across financial analysis, business development, and internal operations. His work includes valuation modeling for client engagements, strategic outreach to business owners, and the refinement of internal workflows. Caleb also leads the firm’s technology initiatives, enhancing deal sourcing, system efficiency, and client service.
